# Notification settings

> How to enable or disable session resolved and session auto-resolved notifications in AI Helpdesk

Go to **Settings** > **Agent** > **Notification settings** to toggle notifications for session events. This is an **Admin** role action.

## Notification types

| Notification              | Description                                                                 | Default |
| ------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------- |
| **Session Resolved**      | Sends a notification when a session is marked as resolved                   | Off     |
| **Session Auto-Resolved** | Sends a notification when a session is automatically resolved by the system | Off     |

## How to change notification settings

    Open **Settings** > **Agent** in the admin console.

  <Step title="Locate the notification settings section">
    The **Notification settings** section lists all notification items.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Toggle the switch">
    Slide the toggle to the right to enable a notification, or to the left to disable it. Changes are saved immediately.
  </Step>

<Note>
  No Save button is needed for notification settings. Toggling the switch saves the change immediately.

## Notification details

### Session Resolved

Sends a notification when a session is marked as resolved.

### Session Auto-Resolved

Sends a notification when a session is automatically resolved by the system. The auto-close timing is controlled by the auto-close threshold configured in [Session settings](/en/ai-helpdesk/admin/session-config).

<Note>
  When a session is resolved or auto-resolved, a completion message is also posted to the chat thread where the conversation took place. This happens independently of this notification setting.
